Martin Lucchini with this series stirs a critique toward modern man, corrupted by the deadly sins that consume everyone's soul from the beginning. He chose exclusively girls as his subjects, able to create a contrast between the cruelty of sins and their feminine, delicate and innocent lines. Each painting is devoid of color except for the subject that corresponds to the capital sin, a precise choice that demonstrates the artist's skill in attending to small details while making the viewer focus and highlighting the sin.
